We reserve appointment availability for sick and urgent patients and can often provide same-day care during regular business hours, depending on medical need and availability.
JLAC is not a 24-hour emergency hospital. If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency or needs continuous overnight critical care, our team will help direct you to the appropriate emergency facility.

When additional information is needed, our diagnostic capabilities include laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, urinalysis, electrocardiogram screening, and other tests selected according to the patient’s condition.
Once we have the necessary information, we explain the findings and discuss treatment options clearly so you can make informed decisions. Medical care may include outpatient treatment, medication, fluid therapy, observation, or hospitalization during regular business hours, depending on your pet’s needs.
Dental Care
Dental disease can cause pain, infection, difficulty eating, and other health concerns. Our dental services include oral examinations, anesthetic dental cleanings, dental radiographs, periodontal assessment, and extractions when medically necessary. JLAC assists families traveling internationally with their pets by reviewing destination-specific requirements, performing the required examination, verifying microchip and vaccination information, coordinating required testing or treatments, and preparing the international health certificate.
When USDA endorsement is required, our team processes and submits the documentation through the appropriate USDA system. Because requirements and timelines vary by destination and may change, we strongly recommend contacting us as early as possible before your travel date. Final endorsement and permission to enter another country are determined by USDA and the destination country, not by JLAC.
Boarding and Continuity of Care
Our boarding service gives established patients the benefit of staying in a familiar veterinary environment with access to their medical information and our trained team. Boarding requirements and availability vary, so please contact us in advance to discuss your pet’s needs, medications, diet, and reservation dates.
