Leaving your pet while you travel is easier when you know they are staying with people who already understand their health, personality, routines, and individual needs. Jog Lantana Animal Clinic offers limited boarding for dogs and cats, primarily as an additional service for our established clients and patients.
Our boarding service is intentionally small. This allows our team to provide attentive care in a familiar veterinary environment while maintaining access to each patient’s medical history, current medications, dietary information, and previous recommendations.
A Familiar Place with People You Know
For many pets and their families, continuity matters. Established JLAC patients stay with a team they recognize in the same clinic where they receive their regular veterinary care. If we observe a change in appetite, behavior, elimination, or general condition, our familiarity with the patient and access to the medical record provide valuable context.
Boarding is not the same as hospitalization or continuous medical monitoring. Before accepting a reservation, we consider each pet’s age, health, temperament, medications, mobility, and level of care required. Pets with complex medical needs or those requiring continuous supervision may need a specialized boarding or medical facility. We will communicate honestly if another setting would be safer or more appropriate.
Individual Instructions and Daily Care
Before your pet’s stay, we will review the information needed to maintain their normal routine as closely as reasonably possible. Depending on the patient, this may include:
- Feeding schedule and dietary instructions
- Current medications and administration directions
- Relevant medical conditions or physical limitations
- Behavior, handling preferences, and known stressors
- Emergency contact information
- Authorized veterinary care in the event of a medical concern
Please bring all medications in their original labeled containers with clear instructions. Food and personal-item policies will be explained when the reservation is reviewed so that you know exactly what to bring for your pet’s stay.
Health and Safety Requirements
To protect every boarding guest, dogs and cats must meet JLAC’s current examination, vaccination, and parasite-prevention requirements. These requirements vary by species and individual circumstances. Our team will review your pet’s medical record and let you know if an examination, vaccine, test, or preventive treatment is needed before arrival.
Pets showing signs of contagious illness may not be admitted for routine boarding. Please tell us before arrival if your pet develops coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, changes in appetite, skin lesions, or any other new medical concern.
Limited Availability and Advance Reservations
Because our boarding area is small and primarily serves established JLAC patients, space is limited—especially during holidays and popular travel periods. We recommend submitting your request as early as possible.
Completing the boarding form does not automatically confirm a reservation. Our team will review availability, your pet’s medical record, and the anticipated care requirements before confirming the stay.
